Position Summary
As an Automotive Hotline Technician and Trainer, you will serve as a key technical resource for workshop professionals. You’ll guide technicians remotely to resolve complex vehicle electronic issues, provide diagnostic advice, and deliver training sessions focused on modern vehicle systems. Your expertise will directly support our mission to enhance workshop performance and customer satisfaction through technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote support to automotive workshop technicians, guiding them through complex diagnostics and repairs.
- Conduct technical training sessions focused on automotive electronic systems.
- Communicate with customers professionally and empathetically, offering clear and effective solutions.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn and stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and adhere to the defined working schedule.
- Uphold TecAlliance and AutoTecnic values in all customer and team interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Technical background in automotive electronics, electromechanics, or vehicle engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with advanced diagnostics of vehicle electronics.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience diagnosing faults in modern automotive electronic systems.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, diagnostic software, workshop manuals, and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of vehicle communication protocols.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in remote technical support or delivering technical training.
Tools & Systems
- Oscilloscopes, multimeters, diagnostic software
- Workshop manuals and vehicle wiring diagrams
Key Success Indicators
- Deepened expertise in diagnosing electronic system faults
- Mastery of emerging vehicle technologies and diagnostic tools
Working Conditions
- Work Location: Remote
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Travel: Minimal, if any
- Legal Requirement: the country where the employee resides and performs their work. (No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance available)
Team & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with a small technical team (3 colleagues)
- Report directly to the Director of AutoTecnic Corp.
- Work cross-functionally with broader TecAlliance teams when necessary
