DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
We are TecAlliance — founded by more than 30 automotive aftermarket companies as a neutral Data‑as‑a‑Service market connector, serving as the neutral data terrain that interconnects them. With over 1,000 employees worldwide and customers in 140 countries, we enable the market — we never compete with it.
Join us in our Tenerife office as a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to help ensure the continuous stability, performance, and security of TecAlliance's cloud platforms while enabling fast, frictionless software delivery. Through modern automation, proactive monitoring, and a strong culture of developer enablement, you will drive engineering efficiency and reduce time-to-market for critical business solutions. In doing so, you will directly protect platform reliability and support cost-effective cloud growth.
Main Tasks:
Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) to streamline build, test, and release workflows.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision, manage, and audit scalable cloud infrastructure using declarative tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
Containerization & Orchestration: Package applications using Docker and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS.
Observability & Health: Monitor platform performance, configure telemetry, and build dashboards using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps): Monitor and analyze cloud consumption, implement resource right-sizing, enforce cost-allocation tagging, and eliminate waste.
Incident Response & RCA: Participate in incident troubleshooting, support operational resolutions, and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat failures.
Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Apply basic security hardening across environments, including IAM access control, secrets management, and patch management.
Devs/QAs Enablement & Culture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational blockers, promote self-service tooling, and foster a strong DevOps culture.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Prior professional experience in IT or software development required; relevant internships, academic projects, or well documented personal projects involving cloud infrastructure, automation, or CI/CD pipelines are highly valued.
Practical engagement with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization, or scripting in production or lab/sandbox environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and collaborative, iterative delivery practices.
English language proficiency is mandatory at B2 level or higher; Spanish language skills would be a plus.
Technical Skills:
Linux & Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux administration, system fundamentals, and command line automation.
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS): Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda).
Containers & Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes cluster management/orchestration.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Solid understanding of IaC concepts and declarative tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
CI/CD & Version Control: Experience with Git workflows and automated CI/CD pipeline design (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation and system glue code.
Observability & Monitoring: Hands-on skill or strong willingness to work with monitoring and telemetry tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch).
AI-Assisted Engineering: Familiarity with AI-driven development workflows, context engineering, and spec-driven engineering practices.
We kindly ask you to apply with an English CV only. Thank you.
