International Accountant

The International Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local and international accounting standards, and effective collaboration with local advisors and internal teams. This role requires good technical accounting skills, and the ability to work in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
· Perform and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including supporting accounting and finance tasks for multi-country entities as needed
· Record and review journal entries, accruals, and fixed assets
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
· Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
· Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and invoicing preparation
· Prepare payments and manage bank accounts transactions
· Prepare financial statements, management reports, and dashboards
· Assist leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis
· Support invoicing team on tax matters
· Prepare CFDI de Pago
· Checking incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness. Assigning invoices to the appropriate GL accounts and cost centers
· Verify and process employee travel expenses and manage the approval and payment process
· Ensure proper classification of cross-border services and maintain transfer pricing documentation
· Assist with audits and any regulatory inspection
· Oversee and ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting activities performed by the external accounting
· Understand and comply with international accounting and financial group reporting standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Solid understanding of intercompany accounting process
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting software (preferably Dynamics 365)
Experience with US, Canadian, and or Brazilian accounting is a plus
