Accounting Initiatives Manager (m/f/d)

As an Accounting Initiatives Manager (m/f/d) you will focus on continuous strategic and operational improvements in accounting, particularly regarding group-wide reporting processes, and will deal with specialist accounting topics. This position reports directly to the VP of Accounting and is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and optimizing reporting processes, as well as coordinating accounting topics at regional, global, and local levels. By working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring that financial reports are prepared accurately, on time, and in accordance with regulations, thus providing a reliable basis for business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy (e.g. best practice sharing, standard setting).
- Group reporting processes: Develop and implement group reporting processes to ensure that all relevant financial information (e.g. P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow statements) is available on the consolidation tool on a monthly base.
- Corporate Development: Manage all Accounting topics around mergers and acquisitions (e.g. Purchase Price Allocations) and establishment of new legal entities within the TecAlliance Group.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR Department, Controlling and other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights.
- Accounting Organization: Support and supervise the regional accounting teams in organizational matters (e.g. capacity planning).
- Local Financial Requirements: Coordinate with the regional teams to ensure they fulfill local financial disclosure requirements (e.g. to the commercial register or statistic authorities).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in auditing (preferably with one of the “Big Four” audit companies), in accounting, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement mechanics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Proficiency in consolidation software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics FO, Lucanet).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Business fluent English language skills (at least B2 level). German would be beneficial.
