Job Definition
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to build and oversee a team engaged in data research within the automotive aftermarket sector, focusing on Repair and Maintenance Information. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data analysis, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive aftermarket industry.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data researchers.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Conduct regular staff monitoring and performance reviews.
Data Research & Analysis:
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Research and implement new data technologies and best practices.
Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage research projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Allocate resources efficiently and manage project timelines.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on project and management review requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of research processes and results.
Market Insights & Trends:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies in the vehicle repair and maintenance sector.
- Provide insights to support business decisions and strategy formulation.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Automotive Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, data research, or analysis, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive vehicle repair & maintenance industry and automotive aftermarket is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with strong ability to work with
- Excel. Knowledge of Access & SQL is an added asset.
